INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

The cookie policy on the wewalter.it website has been implemented on the basis of the provision issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 8 May 2014:

“Identification of the simplified arrangements to provide information and obtain consent regarding the use of cookies” and pursuant to Article 13 of the Privacy Code (Leg. Decree No. 196/2003).

Cookies are small text files that a website sends to the computer (usually to the browser) of the User who visits the sites. The cookies are stored and then sent back to the same website on the User’s next visit. While browsing, the User may receive cookies on their computer from different websites or web servers (so-called “third party cookies”), which may contain certain elements (such as images, maps, sounds, links to specific pages in other domains) and are displayed on the site that the User is visiting.

There are two main categories of cookies, each with different characteristics: “technical cookies” and “profiling cookies”.

Technical cookies are generally necessary for the proper functioning of the website and for allowing navigation. Without them, the user may be unable to view the pages correctly or use certain services. For example, a technical cookie is essential to keep the user connected throughout the visit to a website or to store language, display settings, etc.

Profiling cookies allow creating user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during navigation. In the light of the highly invasive nature of these cookies vis-à-vis users’ private sphere, Italian and European legislation requires users to be informed appropriately on their use so as to give their valid consent.

COOKIES used on the wewalter.it website are not used for profiling activities of the User.

Technical cookies can be further divided into::

browsing or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website;
analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies insofar as they are used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website.
functional session cookies, which allow users to browse according to a series of criteria selected in order to improve the quality of the service provided to them.

wewalter.it uses:

session cookies which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website
analytics cookies used to collect information, in aggregated and anonymous form, on the number of users, on how they use the website, in order to improve it and understand which parts or elements are most appreciated.

A third-party cookie, i.e. Google Analytics, is used for this purpose.
